Creating Accounts

This document outlines the process of creating an account within the application.

Standard Account Creation

  1. Navigate to the Sign-Up Page:

    • Click on the "Sign Up" link, typically found on the login page or in the site header.
  2. Email Verification (If Enabled):

    • If email verification is enabled, you will receive an email containing a verification link.
    • Click the link in the email to verify your email address.
    • This step confirms that the email address you provided is valid and belongs to you.
  3. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup:

    • After email verification (if applicable), you may be prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to configure MFA using an authenticator app or other method.
    • MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account.

Sign In with SSO

If your organization has configured Single Sign-On (SSO), you can sign in using your organization's identity provider credentials (such as Microsoft Azure AD or Okta). Your account will be automatically created on your first SSO sign-in.

To sign in with SSO:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Enter your work email address
  3. If SSO is configured for your organization's domain, you'll see an SSO sign-in option
  4. Click on the SSO option to be redirected to your identity provider's login page
  5. Sign in with your organization credentials
  6. Your account will be created automatically (first time) and you'll be signed in to the platform

Need to set up SSO for your organization?

If you're an administrator looking to configure SSO for your organization, refer to the Single Sign-On (SSO) Setup guide for detailed instructions on configuring SSO with your identity provider.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid Email Address: Ensure that the email address you enter is correctly formatted and valid.
  • Password Does Not Meet Requirements: Review the password requirements and create a password that meets all criteria.
  • Email Verification Issues: If you do not receive the email verification message, check your spam folder. If it's not there, you can request a new verification email.

Account Already Exists

If you attempt to sign up with an email address that is already associated with an existing account, you will be prompted to log in instead. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot password?" link on the login page to reset it.
